Last Thursday at 8:30 p.m., students from the University of Maine gathered to reflect on the Virginia Tech tragedy at a candlelight vigil sponsored by Student Government and the Interfraternity Council. Researchers of forest bio-products receive $1.5 million grant

The Forest Bio-Products Research Initiative has received $1.5 million from the Department of Energy. The state of Maine will match 50 percent of the funds to this project through the Maine Economic Improvement Fund.
